The object of taking driving lessons is to become a safe and proficient driver and to pass the official driving test.
With new drivers, the first aim, is to get them to drive around, turning left and right and becoming confident with the control of the vehicle. They need to be in control of the car and not the other way around. In order to achieve this the learner will neeed a basic understanding of steering, clutch control and changing gear. Once they have mastered these basic skills, they can then move onto dealing with positioning the car correctly, working at their own pace until they can deal with more complicated junctions, crossroads and roundabouts. Learning to deal with traffic lights, pedestrian crossings and how to be considerate of other road users.
Additionally it is important to be able to manoeuvre the car in order to park, turn the car around to face the other way (three point turn) and to reverse around corners, Whilst learning the physical skills of car control, the student will also be learning the art of hazard perception and anticipating the actions of other people on the road.
The key to any learning process is structured training, and with CONFIDENCE the lessons are tailored to the individual student and designed to get results..
